Social Skills Development
At Archild’s special education and developmental preschool, we understand the vital importance of social skills development for children with special needs. Our program places a strong emphasis on fostering social-emotional growth and helping children build positive relationships with their peers. Through structured activities, group interactions, and play-based learning experiences, we create a supportive environment where children can develop essential social skills at their own pace.
At Archild, we focus on helping children with special needs develop effective communication skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, and expressing thoughts and feelings appropriately.
Our program emphasizes teaching children techniques to manage their emotions, such as deep breathing exercises, identifying and expressing emotions, and developing coping strategies to regulate their feelings in different social situations.
Social Awareness & Etiquette
We guide children in understanding social norms and appropriate social behavior. They learn about greetings, taking turns, respecting personal space, and being mindful of others’ feelings, creating a well-rounded foundation for social interactions.
